VARIOUS GROUTING TECHNIQUES

Compaction Grouting

Compaction Grouting densifies loose soils, reinforces fine-grained soils, and seals subsurface holes by injecting low slump grout/concrete mix into the ground at high pressures (750psi to 1000psi). Kani has specialized mixing and pumping equipment for this application.

Consolidation Grouting

The goal of consolidation grouting is to fill the fractures or discontinuities in a rock mass with grout, to strengthen and reduce permeability of formation.

Mini-Jet Grouting

Jet grouting is a drilling and grouting technique used to create a consolidated barrier zone and cement columns using a small diameter drilling tool. Kani is capable of performing such work with limited access and low headroom.

Low Mobility Grouting

In cases where there is significant air/water loss encountered while drilling, the use of low mobility grout can seal large voids using a thick, pumpable grout mix. Kani has used low mobility grout on hydro dams, where large voids were filled in the concrete and in the soil/rock to concrete interface.
